Photographer’s Note

The mausoleum is an extended exhibition of the Museum at Betliar and is one of the most valuable monuments of Art Nouveau in Slovakia. It was built as a family crypt in 1903-1904 for Dionŭz Andrássy and his wife Frances, according to the project by Richard Berndl and Ing.Arch. Constantine Frick. The sculptural decoration is the work of Max Frick and Eduard Schmucker. (information taken from this site.

It is very beautiful from inside as well, however I was not able to see it, as there was nobody to open the museum. I guess the guides were on lunch break... :-(
