Photographer’s Note

Church of St. Andrew in the city of Ruzomberok. Ruzomberok is a town in northern Slovakia, in the historical Liptov region. Centre of the town is located at the Andrej Hlinka Square (Námestie Andreja Hlinku). Among the sights in or around the Square are the Roman Catholic Church of St. Andrew, first mentioned in 1318 and originally built as a Gothic, but now is in a Renaissance-Baroque style; town hall, built in 1895 in the neo-Baroque style and the church and monastery of the Holy Cross (built 1806 and 1730 respectively).

A very good perspective with the stairs leading the eye up to the church tower. Very good colours! Interesting note.

It is a very nice picture where the stairway creates a good diagonal. The green foreground adds much colour to the excellent composition. The info in the note is very good too. Well done.

This is an excellent POV for this shot. The angle of the scene works well giving the shot nice depth and direction. The stairs from a nice diagonal through the shot which leads the eye up to the church. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and DOF.
