Photographer’s Note

Banska Bystrica(Slovakian)/Besztercebanya(Hungarian)/Neusohl(German) once was a mining centre of Europe. In the medieval era there were decades, when more than third of the whole european gold and silver quantity was mined from this region of the Hungarian Kingdom.

The city and its surroundings had ethnically very mixed population: Slovakian, Hungarian, German, Polish, Ruteen, Rusin... people lived here in harmony. This and the cultural achievements represented by richly decorated buildings of cenral square are the real treasures of Banska Bystrica.

This is a nice view of the square, and I like the clock tower that rises in the center. It's interesting how each building is a different type and color. TFS.

Nagyszerű körkép a besztercebányai főtérről, szinte minden lényeges elem benne van és nagyon jól látszódik. Szépek a színek is, esetleg egy kis élességet még elbírt volna.

Nagyon tetszik ez a szines, meleg hangulatu fotod Banska Bystricarol. Jo szogbol fenykepeztel es sok latnivalo van rajta. En is jartam ebben a varoskaban 20 evvel ezelott Lipto Mikulas helyett hirtelen felindulasbol. :)
En is kivanok Neked Boldog, bekes Karacsonyt!
