A night to Belgrade, a photo from Serbia, North

Photographer's Note

The Temple of St. Sava is the greatest orthodox church in the world. The first project to build a church devoted to the Saint Sava in this place is dated 1594, but for historical and political motives it has never been performed.
In 1958, Patriarch German renewed the idea of building the church. After 88 requests for continuation of the building, all refusals, the permission to finishing the building was granted in 1984, and Branko Pešić was chosen as architect of the church. Construction of the building began again on August 12, 1985. The walls were erected to full height of 40 meters.
The greatest achievement of the construction process was lifting of the 4,000 ton central dome, which was built on the ground, together with the copper plate and the cross, and later lifted onto the walls. The lifting, which took forty days, was finished on June 26, 1989.
As of 2009, the church is mostly complete. The bells and windows had been installed, and the facade completed. However, work on the internal decoration of the building still remains unfinished.

Il Tempio di San Sava è la più grande chiesa ortodossa al mondo. Il primo progetto di costruire una chiesa dedicata al Santo Sava in questo luogo è datato 1594, ma per motivi storici e politici non è stato mai eseguito.
Nel 1958, il patriarca German ha rinnovato l'idea di costruire la chiesa. Dopo 88 richieste di proseguimento della costruzione, tutte rifiutate dalle autorità, l'autorizzazione per terminare la costruzione è stata concessa nel 1984, e Branko Pešić è stato scelto come architetto della chiesa. La costruzione dell'edificio è cominciato il 12 agosto 1985. Le mura furono erette con una altezza di 40 metri.
Il più grande successo del processo di costruzione è stato di sollevamento delle 4.000 tonnellate della cupola centrale, costruita sul terreno, insieme alla lastra di rame e la croce, e poi sollevata sulle pareti. Il sollevamento, durato quaranta giorni, fu terminato il 26 giugno 1989.
A partire dal 2009, la chiesa è quasi completa. Le campane e le finestre sono stati installate, e la facciata completata. Tuttavia, i lavori di decorazione interna del tempio rimangono ancora incompiuti.

una foto spettacolare per un edificio che lascia davvero stupefatti per bellezza architettonica, per la mole,le luci artificiali poi, rendono tutto più affascinante. La tua è una foto sontuosa ma elegante, precisa senza sbavature, adatta al soggetto in questione. Le pozzanghere ti sono state d'aiuto per ritrovare alcuni dei riflessi che tanto ami riprendere nei tuoi scatti. La trovo bellissima e essenziale, ed è la cosa che più apprezzo. Questa sagoma bianca e oro che si stacca contro la notte non lascia indifferenti, neanche nello spirito :-0 Bravissimo Paolo.

Splendid night shot of this beautiful orthodox church. It certainly looks impressive.
The white facades and the golden cross on the dome make the church stand out strongly in the dark night.
The reflections in the puddles on the foreground are also very nice but one is absolutely amazing: I note that one icon is almost perfectly reflected.
I suppose you have been searching for the exact point of view to obtain this result. Well done !

eccellente gestione della luce per questa immagine notturna.
Mi piace molto come la chiesa spicca tra il cielo nero.
Il terreno bagnato aumenta la luminosità dell'immagine, regalando anche qualche piccolo riflesso.

Non so fischiare, altrimenti emetterei uno di quei fischi ammirativi, talmente forte, che da Dobbiaco ti arriva a Treviso. E anche direttamente in casa. Splendido notturno, hai giocato meravigliosamente con le luci e, diciamo la verità, hai saputo sfruttare appieno l'effetto bagnato, catturandone eccellenti riflessi. Noblesse oblige! This is an amazing night shot. The illumination is gorgeous. The dark sky contrasts beautifully and dramatically with the white architecture and the reflections in the wet pavement. questa stupenda chiesa ortodossa che hai catturato con stupefacente maestria sembra volere emergere dal buio e bucare lo schermo e appare quasi in 3 dimensioni. Magico gioco di simmetrie, POV perfetto e.. anche in mancanza di un corso d'acqua non hai rinunciato a i tuoi splendidi riflessi.

Meraviglio questo tempio da notte. Non hanno mercanteggiato su l'illuminazione. Mi chiedo come riuscono a trovare le buone illuminazioni. Fanno prove in 3D sul computer forse o su un modello. Sono veramente grandiose qui.
Bellissima foto di bella qualità. Mi piace la strada umida che conduce al tempio e che beneficia dell'illuminazione del tempio. Rende la tua foto ancorà più elegante.
Peccato che c'è la costruzione al fondo sulla sinistra ma non potevi purtroppo l'evitare.

Una bella chiesa ortodossa, con una buona illuminazione di notte per migliorare il suo fascino.
