The construction of the building of the Municipal administration began in 1911 and was completed in 1914. By its original purpose, the municipal administration, regional administration and regional court were supposed to be in the building, but ones it was finished during I World War, it served as the place for accommodating wounded from the war. After the end of the war in 1918, the municipal administration was placed there on the first floor in the wing toward the hotel and the library. The west wing served for housing. In the ground floor of the west wing towards the hotel and the library, the trade and craftsman’s shops were set up, as well ad the post office. From 1948 until 1953, in the building of the municipal administration, the Federal statistic department was stationed, and the municipal service departments were moved to the building in today’s street Vojvoda Stepa, in the building of today’s entrance to the green market in Indjija
