Pravljenje rakije ...
Making brandy ...
My neighbor uses a good day to make brandy .
Brandy is a strong alcoholic drink. Is obtained by a single or double distillation mass which is obtained by alcoholic fermentation of fruits, wheat, potato and the like. In the case where the items of fruit brandies, which has a lower percentage of sugar, such as apples, the distillation is carried out multiple mass, in order to obtain the desired concentration of alcohol. Jabukova weight is generally distilled three times, and such a procedure is obtained the strength of 45 ° brandy alcohol.
After the first distillation is obtained soft brandy with a small percentage of alcohol, a re-distillation of brandy gets the "prepecenica".
Making brandy was done with it as planned and successfully.

Charming photograph of daily life with superb clarity and details. The exposure aided by the perfect light has resulted in lovely vibrant colours. Very interesting note on brandy and how it is made. Hope you enjoyed a nice glass of brandy with your neighbour :-).
Thanks for sharing and have a great new week ahead.

This is a very strong brandy 45° alcohol, but the people are this accustomed.
I drink almost never alcohol, to dangerous for driving with the car.
Your picture is a nice compilation of a daily life picture.
Excellent composition, good colours and nice presentation.
Very well done, TFS.
Have a nice new week,

This is an interesting document of a popular local activity with long traditions all over the Balkans. It's also a good photo with a human presence and excellent colours and light. This is really a photo which suits TE very well.

A small scale home made brandy and your enterprising neighbour, what a nice view and the description that have you captured some lovely light, full of colours, interest and detail. I feel that the tighter crop has worked really well giving more emphasis to the main interest. Well documented shot so well planned and taken. Excellent. TFS

Nice to see these skills still exist, and that making brandy isn't solely under the ownership of large companies. An interesting subject to photograph and great colors, the blue and red combination above the greens look really good.

your neighbours and friends gave you another opportunity for an interesting photo and I'm sure you'll enjoy their brandy together when it's ready. Your composition has a fine, descriptive layout with the distillery in the middle of the frame, the producer at the side and the houses in the background. Bright vivid colours in the sunshine, a productive and enjoyable day. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely evening,

Hi Pavie, I like to learn how to make brandy like your neighbour does....it is cheaper and with original taste. It is amazing that your neighbour can make brandy out of these simple and original tools. Great composition and angle. Wonderful details and nice colours. Thank for sharing

Voilà qui est plutôt original de voir une distillerie en plein air. La photo a de belles couleurs avec une bonne netteté. Note intéressante. Bien fait.

When I saw this photo, I wondered: 'what could this be?', and after reading the commentary, it was ha ha. Nice equipment.
PS: I am here after almost a month away from TE (for unavoidable reasons), am glad to see your photos again.

A very good hobby, totally forbidden in Sweden! But this is a natural part of life and you have taken a very fine and documentary picture. How did it taste?

Bonjour, cher Paja,
Les bouilleurs de cru existaient également en France, mais ont disparu petit à petit.
L'image et la note sont intéressantes à tous points de vue.

This is a fine photo that captures an important ritual. It has a great authenticity to it! Great to see.

A magnificent composition of everyday life, in this case with this friend holding its annual process preparation of brandy, from what I see in your note with a high percentage of degrees of alcohol, all elements of the process with the red roofs as background, creating a beautiful and vivid image.
Nice color, in these natural tones.
Also both sharpness, such as lighting are great.
Well taken photo. I Like
Enjoy a nice day.

You're capturing well this instrument by a good composition and very excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the brewing machine which makes brandy in the green yard and the surrounding houses with red tiled roof. It seems to a household industry production method.
mcmtanyel (16581) 2014-05-07 10:05
A very informative photo and note. I like the green grass surrounding the distillation equipment. Is that a Yugo at the right edge?
Waylim (25368) 2014-05-07 23:11

as much as the last photos of flooded Serbia are very moving I really like this one with more joyous scenery of producing one of the most popular Serbian alcohol :-) I have a bottle of rakija in the cupboard given to me by friend from your country, but I am still gathering courage to try it ;-)
Nice scene and with very down to earth atmosphere. I like the colors as well as well given sharpness.
Thanks for sharing and enjoy your evening
