Uz ovu fotografiju ću vam slikovito prikazati jedno venčanje u pravoslavnoj crkvi u Srbiji.
Mi srbi smo nekada bili paganske vere ali je većina Srba pre više od 1000 godina prihvatila pravoslavlje.
Prihvatili smo pravoslavlje ali ,ostalo je dosta paganskih običaja.

Zna se da je naša država bila pod Turskom upravom 600 godina,ali i pored toga je mali deo ljudi sa ovih prostora prešao u islamsku veru.
Na raskršću smo Istoka i sa Zapada,te što se kulture i jezika tiče,dugo godina bili između velike Turske imperije i Austro-Ugarske carevine.
I danas se nalazimo na međi između Istoka i zapada,samo što se svetski poredak malo promenio.

Da se vratim na našu veru,držimo je se čvrsto,poštujemo tuđe vere i religijska shvatanja,ali idemo Hristovim putem.
Kada se vrši venčanje u Božjoj kući,ista su pravila za sve verujuće Srbe pravoslavne veroispovesti,nema mnogo razlike,ma u kom manastiru ili crkvi se svečana ceremonija obavljala,sve je po pravoslavnim kanonima.

Eto malo istorije ali i današnjeg života u mojoj zemlji.

With this photo I will graphically display a wedding in an Orthodox church in Serbia.
We Serbs are once pagan religion, but most Serbs more than 1000 years of accepted orthodoxy.
We accepted orthodoxy but left a lot of pagan customs.

We know that our country was under Turkish rule 600 years , but still a small portion of people in this region went to the Islamic faith.
We are at the crossroads of East and West, and the culture and the language is concerned, for many years between the great Ottoman Empire and the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
And now we are on the border between East and West, just as the world order changed a bit.

Getting back to our faith, we hold firmly orthodox faith.We respect other people's faith and religious beliefs, but we take the path of Christ.
When is the wedding in the house of God, the same rules for all faithful Orthodox Serbs, there is not much difference, in whatever monastery or church ceremony performed, all in accordance with orthodox canons.

That's a bit of history and present-day life in my country.

I can see abeautiful bride well dressed for her wedding, just obsecurred a bit by the prist - that's one thing you must had to consider when taking this photo.
Nevertheless, a fine indoor's light managed, and include the many guests in the ceramony.

very interesting to see the ceremony. In particular I was surprised to see the crowns on the couples' heads. We don't have it in Roman Catholic weddings.

Dear Sasa

What a fascinating photo, full of history but also so modern. The church itself is very beautiful and I like alot how the people are so close to the bride and groom when they take their vows. Also interesting are the crowns that the couple wear on the heads, obviously a nod to the past. And then we see the little guy in his modern jumper on the left. A wonderful scene and I wish the couple every happiness in life.
