The image is located in the cave church of the Saint Peter and Saint Paul on the mountain Stara Planina. The inhabitants of the village Rsovci in southeastern Serbia think that the fresco was painted in prehistoric times, when according to their beliefs, an ancient people called Krlezi lived in that place.

Zdravo Aleksandar.Nije ni cudno da od velikih briga kako spasiti covjecanstvo, ispala mu kosa. Da nije kriz oko glave, mogao bi biti neki svetac iz dalekog istoka.Sto se tice starih Rsovca, Isus se po njihovom matematikom pojavio dva pute, u vrime Rimljana i hiljada godina ranije. Pozdrav. Klaudio.

That's a very curious fresco, I guess I had never seen Jesus represented this way. It must be very old! I like the light and the details!

I am envious of you for getting this photo! Tried to get to this cave during my stay in Serbia this summer, but never managed. Perhaps some other time.
