Pirot is a nearby town in Serbia - less than 100km from my place - Sofia. As Sebians have applied for an EU member, we travel freely to Serbia. Money exchange from Euro or Bulgarian Levs is no problem in any bank. If you travel to Pirot, you hve to taste their pleskavitsa in one of the many street barbeque shops. Also, tasting sweet baklava in their pastry shops is a must.
Here we are in the very center of the town. In the center is the municipal public library, and on the right is the gallery of the town. December weathe is not very fine, but people are nice and friendly. Everyday Bulgarian and Serbian languages are very similar and we can talk totally without interpretation. Many people seem to speak English too. Prices are very modest and Serbian beer is very good. Deserves visiting.
