Tvrdjava
Na mestu logora rimskih legionara, Turci su 1660.godine, na ostacima srednjovekovnog utvrdjenja napravili tvrdjavu.
1690.godine, po osvajanju, Austrijanci dodaju zidove po projektu italijanskog inzenjera Peronija i nazvali ih car Leopold i carica Leonora.
Po preuzimanju od Austrijanaca, 1718.godine Turci prave hisar za smestaj vojske. Nakon toga pocinju izgradnju velike tvrdjave , zidovi visine 8.metara, sirine 3.metra i ukupne duzine bedema oko tvrdjave 2.100.metara.
Ovo je danasnji izgled ulazne kapije tvrdjave.
1948.godine stavljena je pod zastitu zakona, 1979. godine proglasena je kulturnim dobrom.
Fortress
The first camp of the Roman legions, the Turks 1660.godine, on the ruins of medieval fortresses built fortress.
1690.godine, by conquest, the Austrians added walls, designed by Italian engineer named them Peronija Emperor Leopold I Empress Leonora.
By taking the Austrians, Turks 1718.godine Hisar made to accommodate the military. Then start building large rooms, walls 8.metara height, width and overall length 3.metra walls around the fortress 2.100.metara.
This is the typical appearance of the entrance gates of the fortress.
1948 was put under the protection of the law, 1979. was declared a cultural good.

you should prefer to programme of Adobe Photoshop instead of Photoscape..Because Photoscape is decimating to sharpness...You'll differentiate...;)

I suppose that in the two sites dug in the stone located on each side of the arch, were to be held the guards… Good catch of sight on historical and interesting part of the city. Hi Pavle, Always good to see some of the ruins left by a previous generation. It is remarkable such a place can withstand the elements for hundreds of years. One month ago I walked through that gate. I found this area to the left, towards the bus station, quite interesting. You were lucky to take this photo without any cars but with a few people in the right places . Very good sharpness and light management.
