Photographer’s Note

Pour chanter Vasilissa n'a pas besoin de microphone, des partitions, des souffleurs. Elle a eu sa voix de son pere rossignol et de sa mere rossignol. Son grand-pere etait aussi rossignol, sa grande-mere de meme. Son chant on ecoute debout, droit et sans respiration. C'est la question de l'evenement et de la decence devant la magie. La voix a travers trente octaves vous donne des ailes et vous n'etes pas debout comme je viens de remarquer, mais vous croiser le ciel. Et tout ce que vous avez besoin en ce moment precis, il est dans cette voix. Vasilissa est chanteuse et mon amie par heureuses circonstances.

To sing Vasilissa does not need of microphone, of partitions of prompters. She had its voice of his father nightingale and of her mother nightingale. His grandfather is nightingale and her grandmother also. His singing one listen standing, straight and without breathing. It is the question of the event and the decency in front of magic. His voice through thirty octaves give you wings and you are not standing as I have just pointed out, but you cross the sky. And all that you need in that instant precise it is in that voice. Vasilissa is singer and my friend, by happy circumstances.

Za pevanje Vasilisi ne treba mikrofon, ni note ni šaptači. Glas je nasledila od oca slavuja i majke slavuja. Njen deda je bio slavuj, a i baba. Njeno pevanje se sluša stojeći, uspravno i bez disanja. Pitanje je to doživljaja i pristojnosti pred čarolijom. Glas kroz trideset oktava i vama daje krila, pa ne stojite onako kao što rekoh, nego krstarite nebom. I sve što vam treba u tom momentu jeste u tom glasu. Vasilisa je pevačica i moja prijateljica, sticajem srećnih okolnosti.

Hi Branko,
it is very interesting. I believe this picture shows a difference between orthodox and roman-catholic churches.
In the orthodox church I have noticed that the icons are there for people so that they can have an intimate contact with the God. When I visited orthodox churches it was so new to me that people are TOUCHING and KISSING the icons. Very interesting,

Bonsoir Branko,

On admire d'abord le portrait avec le geste, l'attitude, le regard, l'expression de la chanteuse très bien captées.
On découvre ensuite le somptueux décor riche en détails variés et eux aussi très bien captés.

nice and beautiful your Vasilissa that handle the icon of the Mother's God.You know the word Vasillissa is the same in Greek as Βασίλισσα,I don't know how you know this word.Excellent the management of the lighting conditions,as the colours too.

Salut Branco!
Magnifique scène et très jolie chanteuse, on pourrait presque dire qu'elle fait partie du tableau. Chanceux de l'avoir comme amie. Belle expression de la Signora qui un bouquet à la main semble toucher la Vierge et l'enfant. Une photo de grand qualité, bien éclairée avec de superbes couleurs.
