San Marino - Palazzo Pubblico
The Palazzo Pubblico (Italian: Public Palace) is the town hall of the City of San Marino as well as its official Government Building. The building, where official State ceremonies take place, is the seat of the Republic's main institutional and administrative bodies: the Captains Regent, the Grand and General Council, the Council of XII, and the Congress of State.
Located on the site of an ancient building called the Domus Magna Comunis, the current building was designed by the Roman architect Francesco Azzurri and was built between 1884 and 1894. After a hundred years of existence, it was becoming unsafe in today's standards, so a complex restoration project was undergone. The intervention was completed by the internationally renowned architect Gae Aulenti on 30 September 1996.

A superb capture of this elegant and beautiful building. The pleasant ambient light helps bring out the colour and detail in the architecture to best advantage.

Although "fake" medieval this is still a very impressive building with fine details. It's another equally impressive photo with great sharpness and light and very fine colours.

I like the graphism of the triple arches at the base of the building. Good sharpness and a superb upward pov and smart choice of a vertical frame to fit it all in and accentuate the height. Excellent density and light contrasts. Tfs!

Lovely building, very stately and fitting for the purpose mentioned in your note. If it were not for your note, I would have actually thought that ths building. Lot older than it is. A great view, ii love the symettry of the lower half and how it is broken at the roof line.
All the best

Your view of San Marino's Palazzo Pubblico is dramatic for the vertical dominating the frame, and the architecture appearing much older than 19th century.
As a boy stamp collector I was always intrigued by this small countries' marvelous stamps, and I still have them today.

this looks very similar to the photo posted a couple days ago by our dear friend John (tyro) - same look same style.
I like it because its so in-your-face!
its bold, strong, powerful and dominating.
hard to photograph something so large and upclose but it looks great.

Hi Romano !!
I spent a long time looking at this building.... it is majestic..... so many decorative elements. I am glad that it was restored and also happy that you took the photo.
The image is very sharp and you took the shot on a day with a blue sky.....
You have to be happy with a successful result.
