Let me start by saying this is my first critique here at TE. I registered a couple of days ago, but I've seen dozens of fabulous photos already. Yours is the first to compel me to write. This photo is outstanding under any light. I feel every single detail is portrayed exactly the way it should be. Love the composition - flawless, perfect -, the texture of your image, the feel of the whole. Wonderful photo, magnificent job, Bogdan. And I mean it! I’m making this one my first favorite photo on TE. Keep it up!

The Rope Street!!! Nice photo there Bogdan, I wish I could also share more pictures of Brasov, but this limit of one picture per day is quite annoying. I like the background composition of this picture, you caught some interesting tones back there. Quite different from your usual postings!

It is so funny and appropriate you tell us about the street so small, this beautiful child has a smile that makes me think of a little mouse, and what to expect coming thru such a small street!
her sweater is also paired in color with the big wall. Good touch that the street's end has another figure, all this making your shot rich in detail, despite the simplicity.

I like the soft tones and textures in this image, but can't help thinking I would have prefered to see it in a portrait orientation. I just guess I'm a bit disturbed by the wall on the left side which seems to occupy too much space in the frame. The vertical orientation would also have helped to draw our attention to the silhuette in the background and the harsh light, giving a sense of perspective to the composition.

your photographs are looking more and more like paintings now, the moment comes to a standstill when you press the button. i like this composition the way it is.the only thing that bothers me just a little is your post processin. it's made the photograph a little soft, but thats too small for me reduce my liking this photogrpah even a bit. great work bogdan. im sure you;ll get some beautiful photograph of the gypsies :)

I feel that I am part of this image, I and this lovely girl pass by each other, her smile suggest she knows where I am going and it's encouraging.
I don't see a street, regarless how narrow it may be, I see a passage to unknown which is wonderfully presented by overexposing and loosing detail at the end of the passage.
Good textures and colours.
Very good image full of emotions.

i don't know why, but the way the little girl is smiling reminds me of monalisa. (i think i've lost it...)

This goes 'pop' into my fav as well (after "elixir of youth")! The choice of composition is perfect here, can't get better than this. The other more amazing thing is perhaps the colours you've captured - the walls brings out the colour of her face and sweater. The most amazing thing of course is the angelic fairy girl. :P

Bogdan, ai niste poze super!

Great portrait and a wonderful setting. The light seeping through, and then disapearing into darkness beyond which lies this intimate soft light, the outside world somewhere far away, add to the intimacy of the foreground. The texture of the walls and walkway play an important role as well. The expression on her face, genuine and priceless.
Well seen! Well done!

Lovely photo. I like the balance between the colors of the two walls and the sweater. The light on the face contrasts nicely with the darker alley directly behind her. Composition is spot on.

A perfect moment you've got here. For being such a spur of the moment shot, the composition is awesome. Actually, even if it was not spur of the moment, it still is! The girl is off centered just the right amount it seems, so to give a glimpse of that great gackground. And what are the chances that the walls and her sweater and her complexion all have such matching warm tones? It must have just lifted your heart seeing how this came out, it does mine. So appropriately titled.
