The spirit of autumn Photo

Photographer’s Note

I must break the Istanbul travelogue with this photo. I spent the last weekend in the Székely Land in Transylvania. We were more than lucky because the weather was incredibly great and the autumn showed its most beautiful face with the colourful trees.

Gyimesbükk (in Romanian: Ghimeş-Făget) is famous for its old watchman's house. It was built in 1897 and it was the easternmost watchman's house of the Hungarian Royal State Railways. Between 1940-1944 a bunker with loopholes was spliced to the building. From the 1960's the house was abandoned. For the Whitsun of 2008 its renovations were finished with international help.

Above the watchman's house stand the ruins of the Rákóczi Castle. It was built by Gábor Bethlen around 1626 and fortified in the beginning of the 18th century by II. Ferenc Rákóczi, the castle got its present name then.

I took this photo from the castle. The small river below is the Tatros.

Beautiful autumn scene with nice pov and composition and lovable autumn color tints. Even thoe I prefere horisontal photos this one is perfect.

Hi Marton,
now the colours are great, I esp. like the yellow trees in the back.. With photography I like autumn more and more :)
In former times it was no season for me..

Autumn colours always a beuatiful subject for photographers, from TE i can see many beautiful autumn pictures because my place doesn't have that wonderful season and your picture showing that...a nice compo to combine that colourful nature and the perfect weather. Hát igen, nem a fényképezőgép teszi a jó fotóst, ezt nagyszerűen igazolod ezen képeddel, ami igazán festőien sikerült.
Kifejezetten tetszik a kompozíció és az útra vetődő árnyékok. A színek is jól kijöttek! Grat!

Amazing depiction of the natural wealth of Romania.
The colors are vivid and the black frame is a good choice.
Although i thing that you should have chosen a different POV so as, to avoid the three in the right part of the picture.

The sight on this magnificent landscape is very deep and with a great quality of image and of colors, thanks to these wonderful tones that offers us the autumn on the trees and the vegetation, which you have could catch perfectly in your composition.
The vertical format is a good choice.

This one is strong on the autumn feeling side, all these warm touches on the trees mix very well with the greens for an attractive combination, you also have used well angle and vertical framing for a pleasant impression.

Bonjour Marton.
Cette photo est superbe. J'aime cette composition avec le premier plan qui fait comme un feu d'artifice de couleurs d'automne. Le regard est amené sur la rivière puis sur les montagnes. Les couleurs sont magnifiques.

What a beautiful place! I love those bright, stunning colours of the autumn leaves. Great light and I love the road that leads us further and further away into this fairytale land!
