Photographer’s Note

I met this man in Radnót/Iernut , close to the Mures bank.
He told me abt some sad news, which happend that day when i was there.
A young boy had drowned in the Mures.
He was a good swimmer but there are to many whirlpools in that part of the Mures, so he get sucked into one of them...

I went there and the whole family was there on d river bank and there i heared that its not the first tragedy in that family..They lost some years ago 2 other family members on d same place...

My prayers for that family in Radnót, in Romania...

das ist ein sehr trauriges Portrait...man spuert den Trauer und die Haerte eines harten Lebens in seinem Gesicht.
die Wahl von Schwarz und Weiss traegt dazu bei, dass wir uns auf seinen Gesichtausdrueck konzentieren

Hi Melinda,
der Gesichtsausdruck sagt alles über diese tragische Geschichte. Auch wenn der Anlass ein trauriger ist, das Foto ist sehr gut.
Wünsche Dir einen schönen Abend und dieser Familie viel Kraft.

Melinda, felkavaróan testközeliek a képeid, ez is. Megérint. Ez az arc! És ez a háttértörténet! Elsőre kissé túlkontrasztáltnak éreztem, de most azt mondom, kell ehhez ez a karcos fekete és fehér.

Hello Melinda,

A poignant story to accompany the fine portrait of the man. Your composition and resolution are very good in the photograph taken in mid August, when it must have been very hot. What a tragedy for the family to lose three members in the same place.

Szomorú eset, de a képed jóra sikerült, remekül kaptad le a bácsi érzelmeit.
