Swimming through the Air

This plane reminded me what flying once meant. Not like today, when boarding a plane is as interesting as stepping on a bus. Then it still was special, allowed only to a few privileged. The planes seem to have carried hard on their responsibility, slowly accelerating and gratiously climbing up into the sky, one meter after the other, not to shock their passengers with any unforeseen movement, and then, more hanging in the sky than really flying, disappearing in the distance.
Seen at the airshow near Bucharest last weekend. |

Johannes, exactly, you have captured the meaning of this plane very well I think. The AN-2 is not necessairly that old, and there are many still flying around the world but your panning shot and selection of B&W works well to bring back the era when flight was more than another bus ride.

The panning effect is very good here and I like this image
I didnt try this until now
