Photographer’s Note

The NATO summit is in Bucharest these days, reason for closing one aeroport, and even some kindergardens...

My first Romanian picture already showed this huge building, but since some mentioned it would have been better at blue hour, I wend there again on Sunday evening to fulfill this task :)
Thanks to the Moon being there :)

And yes, I deleted some electrical cables on the picture...

Hi Didier,
the light is well belanced, no overexposure anywhere. The level of the horizon is at the golden ratio and yo were lucky that the moon was at the right point.

une image comme je les aime avec ces filés de lumiére qui donnent du dynamisme, et cerise sur le gateau la lune a son dernier quart dans l'angle, beau trés beau cadrage

Bonjour Didier,

Superbe, l'éclairage est parfait. Bonne idée, ce format vertical : il permet d'inclure ce joli croissant de lune qui s'oppose à la lumière étoilée du lampadaire.

I think it was worth to shoot this picture again with the sky having a deep blue colour. The contrast of the illuminated building against the sky is nice. And the moon is a very good inclusion. The 8 second exposure works excellent here, even better because your camera was 'at tail-light level', mixing the red and yellow colours that these lights left on the camera.

Une palais des demesures entaché par l'histoire sombre du dictateur qui l'a fait construire. J'aime cette ambiance nocturne. La lune dans le ciel est une plus indéniable.

Bonjour Didier,

Ce monstrueux bâtiment est à l'image de celui qui l'a voulu; complètement mégalo! L'autre photo que tu as faite avec une focale plus longue en imposait encore plus, mais ici, la lune est bienvenue. Quand à parler d'heure bleue, elle est un peu passée, ce qui est dommage, car l'éclairage est tellement puissant sur le bâtiment que cela aurait bien équilibré l'image! On a tous tendance à faire des photos trop tard à l'heure bleue! Beaucoup de photographes expérimentés pensent qu'il faut photographier un peu avant où on a le moment parfait pour l'oeil! Et à mon avis,c'est vrai pour les appareils de photo, à la condition que l'éclairage public soit puissant... S'il est très faible, presque inexistant, alors une heure tardive peut être très bonne!

Composition and light is flawless, nothing to pick on that, wonderful with those trails of light and the lantarn. But the moon looks weird, what did you do with it?

Contrary to what many others say..i really like this building....especially in the light you presented it. great work
