Photographer’s Note
Poiana Negri: a village in Dorna Valley, NE Romania. Why is it special? Here are the springs from where it is captured the mineral water, which became a brand in Romania, having the same name. The entire region is well known for mineral waters and for dairy products. The meadows with a rich plant diversity are providing good nutrients for cows and indirectly gives to the milk a high and special quality.
This house is a traditional one for this region; high roofs made in four pieces, are protecting the houses against wind and let the snow melt easy in winter. Both house and roof are made of wood, as everybody knows the non-conducting properties of this material, very important for the region climate and energy save. On a next photo with houses from Bucovina, I'll bring more details.
