Triumph in Bucharest Photo

Photographer’s Note

This is the Arch of Triumph of Bucharest. It is built based on the famous Arch of Triumph in Paris.

Like the Arch in the French capital, this one is surrounded with a runabout, though less big than the one in "Place Charles-de-Gaulle" (formely Place de l'Étoile).

The picture was taken as the sun was coming down. The twilight and the cloudy sky gave the effect that you see.

Wow, this is a magnificent shot. The definition is superb and the colours extremely good. And that big blurred flag only needed to be a bit more opened. Well done.

Simon the exposure and colours of this image are very good. Your perspective of this monument at sunset is very interesting as the colours give the image a contrast of cold and warm tones. Well composed image. Thanks Simon.

La similitude est assez frappante avec notre arc de triomphe. Tu as choisi le bon moment pour le photographier et j'aime les lumières étoilées qui meublent la partie gauche de l'image ainsi que le flou des drapeaux, particulièrement le grand sous l'arche. Très bien fait, Simon!

Hi Simon,
Well captured night shot, with clear lines and fine colours.
I like your composition with the arch to the right and some empty space to the left, which is dominated by attractive street lights.
The blurry flag under the arch makes a very nice detail, and reminds me of a rainbow.
