Orthodox Cathedral and.. Daily life #4, a photo from Timis, West

Hi dear all,

I’ll be again at Timisora between 18 and 24 of February, in two weeks. I am glad to visit this lovely city.

In this picture, we can see in background the Orthodox Cathedral of the city .

In last time I was there with the Lucian (in the picture) and Gabriela Schimmer our Trekearth friend. We visited this beautiful church and the car exposition.

Timişoara is with 336,089 inhabitants one of the largest cities in Romania. It is a large economic as well as cultural center in Banat in the west of the country.
It is a multicultural city with influential minorities, primarily Hungarians, Germans, and Serbs, as well as Italians, Bulgarians, and Greeks. It was the birthplace of Johnny Weissmuller (an Olympic swimmer, best known for his role as Tarzan).
The city is also called "Little Vienna", because it belonged for a very long time to the Habsburg Empire and the entire city center consists of buildings built in the Kaiser era, which reminds one much of the old Vienna. Timişoara is an important university center with the emphasis on subjects like medicine, mechanics and electro-technology. An industrial city with extensive services, it was the first European city to be lit by electric street lamps in 1884. It was also the second European and the first city in what is now Romania with horse drawn trams in 1867. There are numerous claims that Gustave Eiffel, the creator of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, built one of Timişoara's footbridges over the Bega. From Wikipedia

ciao dear Aires,
this is a nice surprise for me,to show us this lovely city where is the interesting architecture like in this one with "Cathedral" in the bk..and cars.??..:)..have myself a pov with this church,but your is much better with nice sky and natural colours..

Well, is quite a contrast to have the modern cars and the church in the background. I like the colors and the perspective. I would prefer not to see the person and the bag on the right in the frame but, hey, is not that bad. A nice compo. Thanks for sharing Aires :-)

A lovely combination between the modern cars in foreground and the old church in background, the red and blue colours together with the man gives a nice composition, very well done! TFS.

Hallo, dear friend!
It is very interesting sacral architecture. I like your strong colours. Specially colour of sky. But cars and young man are not good for this photography. Should be better only cathedral. But photo is interesting.

Good photo of the church. You captured it from a good POV and with a nice sky in the background. I also like the artwork in front of the church as well as the cars and the person next to one of them. Adds a nice piece of daily life. Nicely done!

Aires, a Catedral é bem bonita com arquitetura bem diferente e interessante. O céu azul com as nuvens deram um toque especial. porém não me agradou esse rapaz e os carros, pois competem com a igreja ao fundo, não sabendo qual o objetivo principal.
Apesar disso, você conseguiu ótimas cores e nitidez.

Bonita foto, mas acho que se fosse uma exposição de carros antigos combinaria mais com a Igreja! Boas cores, mas pena que o sol não estava batendo de frente com a Igreja!

Buena escena del dia a dia. Me gusta como combinas varios elementos interesante, en primer lugar la arquitectura con ese fantastico cielo de fondo, tambien me gusta la estructura moderna y por ultimo el detalle de los coches deportivos,.

Una imagen muy completa.

Hay algo extraño en la foto que no me acaba de convencer. Y puede que sea precisamente el balance de blancos, lo que hace que vea unas tonalidades de colores un poco extrañas (al menos en mi monitor).
Con el photoshop es relativamente fácil de corregir.
