Photographer’s Note
Another picture from Peles castle (see the other one here). The man in statue is the last monarch of Romania I think.

I do believe statue is of Prince Carol of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen (known as King Carol I), who had come to Romania's throne in 1866 as the first monarch of Romania. He is actually the one that started the constrction in 1873 and was finished in 1914 the year he died.
The last monarch of Romania is - King Mihai I which is still alive and lives in Switzerland.
I like the photo - it's like: Look what I've done! - and Peles Castle it's a beautifull piece of art. Good job for showing a little bit of romanian (architecture - history).

Nice picture Simon. Thought I would have liked the statue to be a bit more offcenter.
The building is well placed in this picture, but with the statue more to the right the picture would have been even better, both due to the rule of thirds and that it is now blocking our view of a nice part of the building.
The bright sky is really murdering the colors in this shot, the wood of the castle and the statue are very dark as a result. I made a WS to try and improve this a bit, hope you like it.
