Photographer’s Note

Continuing the series featuring the medieval Huniad Corvin castle in the Transylvanian city of Hunedoara (other names: Eisenmarkt, Huniadstadt, Vajdahunyad, Hunyadvar, Hunyad, Hannedeng).

This is another view of the castle, just as spectacular and again, from a spot very little known. I walked down the local road used mainly by transport trucks, which services nearby quarries and ironworks. In the foreground is the "Ne boisa" ("Fear not") tower and the connecting gallery, built in the 1400s, during the time of John Huniad (Johannes Hunyad), to enhance the castle defenses and serve as a retreat.

Unfortunately I couldn't avoid those cables. I know they lower the quality of the picture.

PP: brightness/contrast adjustment, increased saturation, resized, sharpened, frame, saved for web.
