Photographer's Note

Cluj-Napoca's salient architecture is primarily Renaissance, Baroque and Gothic. The modern era has also produced a remarkable set of buildings from the mid-century style. The mostly utilitarian Communist-era architecture is also present, although only to a certain extent, as Cluj-Napoca never faced a large systematisation programme. Of late, the city has seen significant growth in contemporary structures such as skyscrapers and office buildings, mainly constructed after 2000.

this is a lovely city scene with the people sitting outside and the streets full of life and interest. lovely colours in the sun. great perspective along the narrow street.

I like this better than your previous posting which had a bit too much darks. This one has a good progression from the dark foreground to the bright and interesting central parts.

Hi Daniel,

Fantastic warm vs cold colour contrasts between the blue sky & yellow façade of the building at right. Looks like a lovely spot for a relaxing cup of coffee or tea. I like the reflected light off the cobblestones. Good depth & perspective. Tfs!

Hello Daniel - I like this shot for the POV, the couple enjoying a break are nicely positioned in a shaded spot. They are nicely isolated from the view they are enjoying and the shot conveys a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Very well managed light and attractive colour. Warm regards rosemary

Un temps agréable pour prendre un verre a la terrasse, bon détails du sol de pavés, les façades colorées, le jeu ombre et de lumière et le bon POV entre les chaises qui donne de la profondeur
