Sitting all day long beside the candles lit to remember the dead in a monastry, begging for money - this, or very similar, is the faith of many Romanian pensioners who are forced to beg for money to survive.

Great portrait. I like compositon very much (face of woman on the background with candles). Great light and sharpness of her face and very interesting DOF. Very well done!

This is a strong picture johannes even if the lady is somewhat posing for your lens!

I like this type of portraits, also you placed these lady perfect out of the middle this gives a lot leeway to the right.

toll wie nahe Du ran gehst mit dem extremen Weitwinkel. Super Schärfe, und durch das Kerzenlicht wird das Gesicht von hinten schön aufgehellt.

This is definitely a powerful image, made more so by your poignant note. Shame that people are forced to beg to live.

The lighting in this shot is perfect, man! You not only caught the design on her faded scarf, but the character of her face, every nook and cranny of her skin. The candles add to the power.
