Photographer’s Note

Timisoara, situated in the western part of Romania, has some premieres: in 1881 was the first city in Romania to have a telephone network, in 1897 the first films were shown to the public in Romania, in 1745 the first Municipality hospital in Romania was built here, in 1771 the first newspaper was printed here and the first newspaper in German language was also print here, 1855 the first city to be illuminated by gas, 1889 the first European football game in Romania, and 1899 the first electric tramway in Romania.

DAR...nota e un atac la patriotismul local :)). "1292 este atestat primul spital de pe teritoriul actual al Romaniei, la Sibiu". Informatie luata de aici
