Photographer’s Note

Sibiu, una delle città più belle della Romania, ha nella Piazza Grande del suo centro storico la parte più affascinante.
Una cortina di antichi palazzi ricchi di storia e di bellezza come il palazzo del municipio, un restaurato edificio barocco, a fianco della cattedrale cattolica, quasi in simbiosi con il bel campanile.
Sibiu oggi fa parte della Romania, ma fu fondata nel XIII secolo da Sassoni provenienti dalla Germania e fino alla Prima Guerra Mondiale fu, con tutta la Transilvania, parte dell'Impero Asburgico.
I Sassoni costruirono una città dove oggi, grazie ai fondi per la capitale europea della cultura, sono stati restaurati i musei, rifatta la pavimentazione delle piazze e ridipinte le facciate di chiese e palazzi del centro storico.

Sibiu, one of the most beautiful cities in Romania, have in the Great Plaza of its historical center the most fascinating part.
A curtain of ancient rich buildings of history and beauty as the building of the town hall, a restored baroque building, beside the Catholic cathedral, almost in symbiosis with the beautiful bell tower.
Today Sibiu belongs to Romania, but it was founded in the XIII century from Saxon coming from Germany and up to the First World war it was, with the whole Transylvania, part of the empire Asburgico.
The Saxon ones built a city where today, thanks to the funds for the European capital of the culture, the museums have been restored, referred the flooring of the plazas and repainted has her of churches and buildings of the historical center.

bella immagine, nella quale aprezzo soprattutto la pulizia delle linee dovute ad uno sharpness fantastico ed i colori piacevolmente saturati. Il doppio lampione davanti davanti agli edifici arricchisce ulteriomente una immagine già ricca di bei particolari. Bravissimo!

Immagine dalla nitidezza straordinaria. E che strepitoso scorcio! Una cosa strana? La grande somiglianza architettonica tra questo campanile e quello del mio paesello altoatesino: sono quasi uguali. Con ogni evidenza gli Asburgo hanno lasciato il loro segno inconfondibile,nei secoli, un pò dappertutto nella Mittel Europa! E... in tutta sincerità, avendo come secondo cognome un bel Kassewalder, e anche una nonna assolutamente asburgica, la cosa non mi dispiace affatto!
