Photographer’s Note

There is a street in Sibiu which tells the whole religious history of the city: Str. Mitropoliei. From one end to the other it contains: a Lutheram Church, an Orthodox Cathedral, a hungarian Unitarian church, another large Lutheran cathedral and, only around the corner, the Roman-Catholic cathedral. It was built during the habsburg empire mainly to promote Catholicism among the largely lutheran community.
