Photographer’s Note

This church is the very own medieval sky-skraper of Sibiu. Standing on a more higher level than the rest of the city(Upper city) it dominates the skyline from every POV.

A small fact you woun't find on wikipedia or in travel guides:
The side facing the Samuel von Brukenthal School has seven roof elevations(5 are visible in my photo) to symbolize the seven citadels of Transylvania(which give the german name of "Siebenbürgen"). Nice example of late middle age patriotism.

I share with you the view I had every day for 8 years while I was learning at the mentioned school..Not bad, isn't it?

This diagonal composition is wonderful Adrian!
And from this POV you really emphasized the height of the church and very well controlled the spaces. Good lights and shadows too.

Da, bine ales titlul, am ajuns de curand la Sibiu si mi-am promis ca trebuie sa ajung din nou sa stau mai mult...din toate fostele orase-targuri sau cetati cred ca arata cel mai bine, desigur si banii de la UE si-au spus cuvantul, dar oricum, f fain...
