Hello Flory,

This portrait is very clear and the colours are excellent. The woman is quite interesting and display the hardness of life in her face. Good cropping with the subject slightly off centre to create more interest. Thanks for sharing :-)

Beautiful shot Florentina, with a rather effective tight crop. Life certainly isn't easy for this nevertheless very optimistic looking lady. Very realistic capture and excellent eye contact with your model. The only fault of the image is the slight overexposure. I would have liked it in black and white, but this is just a matter of personal preference.

I think it IS an amazing view, because I think old ladies shouldn's work in this way. For me it's a very impressive photo because she has such a positive charisma - in spite of her burden. A great picture!

your beloved Maramures again. You always bring incredible portraits from there. This old woman's face bears the expression of the heavy burden she carries. Simple scene of daily life, but you manage to catch the riht expressions.

Every singel of her wrinkels tells a story, a story of a life filled of things that no one else to fully can or will understand. you masterly showed us that there is a story and we can just imagine whats behind. I might be a simple moment , but it breed of complexity and have a lot of undertones. my little but only objection is that the black side barns in someway concure with the image and take a bit of the attension.

Ouch I can feel the pain of the effort looking at this image, it is also full of light and because of it delivers a very vivid impression. and I could not miss that nice red background dacia :-)
What did you mean about football ? I know just enough about this tiny little ball in order not to be interested in it...

Mult verde aici, verde crud, proaspat, curat. Imi place saturarea culorilor, doar lumina e putin cam strong ;).
Faptul ca ai optat pt. un cadru atat de strans in partea de sus a imaginii, taiat foarte aproape de incarcatura purtata in spate, da o senzatie de apasare oarecum, de greutate - parca simteam eu povara cand am deschis imaginea :)
Imi place chipul senin/curat al batranei, rozul obrazului.
Buna imaginea, Floricico :)

J'arrive bien tard et j'en suis contrit... merci pour cette belle dédicace Flory...
C'est vrai que c'est un angle simple, mais j'aime le visage de cette vieille femme ployant sous son fardeau... Voilà une chose que TE m'aura apporté : La découverte de la Roumanie, notamment du fait de ta galerie conjuguée à celles de faubry, isabela sor et sa soeur...

I agree that the technical part isn't mind blowing, it might even be a little too saturated for my taste, but the subject is really good, something very appropriate for TE.

because it has been a while that I visited you, I have 2 critiques for you today: one good and one half-bad/half-good. Let's start with the good;)

I know I already said I liked your rural shots. But here I go again...what a delight to see her face, her bent body, her pink t-shirt and that thing over her head(don't know the name...). She seems to be providing a huge effort, but still, her face looks smiley. There is a good energy coming out of her.

I think I could use some space on the left to breathe a little. But, what a shot! A very human shot.

I discover with a lot of pleasure your gallery this morning. There are so many beautiful things. I stop on this portrait today. The face of this woman carries the tracks of the hard work that she has of to make all her life in fields and that she still makes.
The very clear-cut colors highlight this extraordinary face in the smile which does not have teeth anymore.

Hi Flory, I don't know how I missed this one...to many pictures to look at...It's a fantastic portrait, simply! It's perfect. If one day I can make one like this I would be so happy. Her face, the burden on her back, the shawl, the way she is bent, the whole life on her face and that smile. It would be great in b/w, but the colors somewhat make her closer I think, more real. This goes into my favs theme. Bravo !
