Photographer’s Note
Vulcan, Petrosani, these were the strongplaces of the Romanian coal mines. The mines have been closed, the jobs were lost, the people remained without perspective. Rather typical photo for a Romanian small town.

Hi Johannes!
Love the photo - it looks like this town as so many half-forgotten stories to tell. The off-tinted B&W is a perfect choice, and great contrast! The people at the frong also seem to have a story to tell - I can't quite tell if the tallest guy is barefoot or wearing rubber boots - either way adds to the atmosphere greatly.
Cheers,
Jordan

Din pacate in Romania sunt foarte multe orase de genul asta dezvoltate in jurul unui tip de industrie (miniera in cazul de fata). Incredibil...o singura intrebare...wtf were u doing in Vulcan????

Buna Johannes!
Intr-adevar, in regiunea aia orizontul nu e chiar asa roz.

Ciao Johannes,
architecture typical of the regime, made dramatic by the job of PP, a beautiful photo compliment
