Photographer’s Note

At Cruset, almost 30 km from Craiova, live a poor cultivator with his big family.He has a son(seems very young,maybe only 6-7 years old).
Today I saw that little boy sat upon the grass with this big bag,reaping the green grass …Of course,I asked him what he is doing there,instead of being at school.He replied very determined:and who will feed our animals?
This is a hard lesson of life,he must be only a kid,enjoying his childhood,not working…
Still he is happy in an innocent way ….

Mmmm... that fresh grass must be soooo tasty after a whole winter of eating just hay. I'm sure those animals are very happy too.

Indeed, a hard life for a child, and yet so common in the rural areas of our country. Nice TE shot.

PS I was only helping feed the chicken in the summer by doing something similar at that age but that was quite easy as those plants were large and didn't need to pick too many of'em anyway. I wasn't crazy about the picking but I loved the feeding of the chicken.

Foarte frumoasa poza si foarte induiosatoare...Ca atmosfera, si ca incadrare imi aminteste de o pictura de Grigorescu infatisand o mica pastorita...Aceeasi puritate si inocenta la copil si la natura inverzita din jur...Doua primaveri...
