Photographer's Note

This is Piaţa Muzeului, the centre of one of the nicest areas of Cluj-Napoca, which I found to be one of the nicest cities of Romania. At one end of the oblong square is the National History Museum of Transylvania, at the other end is a 15th century Franciscan church, mainly used by the city's Hungarian community.

Cluj-Napoca is the second largest city of Romania and has a relaxed, cosmopolitan atmosphere, largely due to the presence of tens of thousands of university students from near and afar. Among other things I saw quite a number of Indian and Chinese restaurants, which I didn't expect to find here.
