Cluj-Napoca's salient architecture is primarily Renaissance, Baroque and Gothic. The modern era has also produced a remarkable set of buildings from the mid-century style. The mostly utilitarian Communist-era architecture is also present, although only to a certain extent, as Cluj-Napoca never faced a large systematisation programme. Of late, the city has seen significant growth in contemporary structures such as skyscrapers and office buildings, mainly constructed after 2000.

a very creative and intriguing look on this elegant, urban fašade. Your symmetrical framing is effective and matches the architectural style and its fine details. I like very much your idea to take a picture of this fašade at this hour and add to the architectural patterns a whole new network of patterns created by the shadows. The colours have lost some of their power to the shadows and the scene is quite atmospheric. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely weekend,

Very nice composition, and the lighting makes it more dramatic, but it looks like it needs just a little bit rotating ccw. I agree with Ourania about the colors and i would also like to add that the image suffers heavily from chromatic aberration.

the interesting architectural features of the older buildings are well portrayed in a very strong light.

Nice detail with some great play of shadows on this old facade in Cluj. The quality of the light is gorgeous. I like also your note about the style and architecture of the town and its recent development.
have a great sunday

Hello Daniel - A lovely old facade with the angled light adding an interlacing of shadows and a graphical touch. I do like the washed out paintwork!

Its the light which creates a lot of interest...especially on the arch like structure in the lower part. The window and the door create a type of symmetry which makes this appealing
