Hi Sean,
FInally you decided to add a new photo.
This one is beautiful, nice vivid colors, however, it may need some sharpening.
Saludos!
Maryori :)

hello Sean,
the simple composition works quite well considering that the main purpose is to show this artwork and it's surroundings (but why file the post under category "castles"? I'd say it's more "nature" and "artwork"). but I don't like the harsh midday light, it makes everything look flat and boring. I don't know if that's possible, but I'd try revisit the place early in the morning or late in the afternoon, when the light is warmer and would bring out the 3D in the scene.
best,
Kristine

Hi Sean, I did not know there´s such a mystic statue in Europe. It looks like from Tolkien´s Middle-earth.
Exposition is OK. The composition central and very static. The light is not ideal either - noon sun, eh? But the time of shooting is many times not up the photographer and one just tries to get best from actual conditions.
Compression of the image is too high - you can see it in the sky (big monocolour blocks) and around details (ugly JPEG artifacts). Your image size is 78 kB, while the limit per image is 200 kB - why not use it?
Due to the compression the more complex areas are muddy. Maryori suggested sharpening, but that would be treating symptoms not the cause.
Looking forward to your next photos & best regards,
Adrian

Hi Sean,
all the remarks submitted here are accurate, this photo could be easily improved. Anyway, it is a nice shot, as it shows a place almost taken from the Lord of the Rings movie. Thanks for sharing this!

Hello Sean:
It is the first time I see a landscape of this style. No doubt a work of art on the stone, though the nature it has taken away something from you.
Thanks for make it known.
John
