Morning Sheepdog Photo

Photographer’s Note

The sheepfold is awake before sunrise, although the dogs seem to work and nap 24 hours a day. By night they patrol the flocks and camp as in the day. This is the area of Europe with the highest population of bears and wolves and the dogs protected me through the night; however, if I left my tent, I would be seen as an outsider and snapped at by these dogs until the shepherds called them back.

What a beautiful and wild place you captured here, Dan. I like how you have captured man's best friends in his natural setting. The beautiful beast seems to pose for you. It has a majestic and calm appearance. The layers of mountains make a fine background. Great composition.

increbible setting and the layer of bg is fantastic. The fg is good enough I think. Only thing I would like to improve is the lighting.

the white dog in this evergreen blue ocean
make a superb rural picture ..
I imagine wolves and bears in this wild landscape... sheep are well kept !
