Photographer's Note

The Strand Park, situated in the lower part of the city along the Arges river, is one of the most popular places from Pitesti. There are boats for rent, a summer theatre, a mini-train for the kids, sport facilities and a football field. The water ditches are ruled by wild ducks and swan. Good place for a long day walk.

Parcul Ştrand, unul din punctele de atracţie ale piteştenilor este situat pe malul râului Argeş. Cuprinde locuri de agrement şi sport (plimbări cu barca, curse de carturi, terenuri de fotbal, tenis, handbal şi patinoar artificial). Copiii se pot plimba cu trenuleţul făcând înconjurul parcului. Tot aici se află şi un teatru de vară amplasat pe una din insulele de pe lacul populat cu lebede.

Le regard suit naturellement le canal dans l'image ce qui lui donne de la profondeur. Les branches jaunes du saule sont du plus bel effet.

It's incredible that this was taken only five days ago. It looks like you still have summer in Romania. It's a wonderful view with fine colours and reflections. Now most of Sweden is covered by snow, most flights stopped and chaotic roads.

Salut Daniel, imi place si poza asta, cineva ar putea crede ca parcul asta e cel mai frumos din lume uitandu0te prin galeria ta. Pentru tine poate ca asa si este. Oricum, culorile sunt foarte faine, si contrastul cu cerul e senzational.

I must have architecture on-the-brain...for some reason as i'm viewing this in the small thumbnail version I was seeing the famous Flat Iron building in New York City.

the vertical composition was for sure the way to go on this one, a horizontal wouldn't have given the same visual effect.
