Sunset in Apuseni Photo

Photographer’s Note

Driving down the winding road from Arieseni (Apuseni Mountains), I was confronted by this beautiful image of the sun bedding down for the night.
I was fortunate I was able to stop the car to admire this fantastic view. Live, looks always better.

Atmosfera e misto,ceta si norii creaza atmosfera asta frumoasa.Sunt de acord cu tine,live...e mortala...:)
Arieseni-ul...e chiar frumos in orice perioada a anului.

Salut Liliana ... and I really think I prefer your TE version, it seems much warmer to me. But this is just a feeling and only a matter of taste of course. Absolutely beautiful the different layers of fog in your photo and the rolling hills going on and on, as far as we can see. Oh yes, I would have stopped too, immediately, who wouldn't? Hi,Liliana. The golden hues of the sunset create a very nice atmosphere in this picture. The different hills separated by the clouds give a very good atmosphere to it. The snow in the foreground reminds us it is winter and the haystacks that we are in a region that has kept its rural traditions. Very good light and composition.

c'est le genre de photo qui me met sur les genoux. La réalisation est parfaite, elle ne souffre pas d'un seul défaut et elle fait ressentir ton amour des cartes postales.
Des lumières parfaites qui dégagent des couleurs très séduisantes.

Thanks for your interest in my gallery. Sensational view here, you were very fortunate to have such favorable weather and lighting conditions. I would think that your workshop versions deserves to be uploaded as an image to be critiqued as it is very good, appealing to the eye. The layering of colour and light is very agreeable in this scene; the crest of the hill is a good dominant feature in the middle of the shot, leading upwards along that ridgeline. The snowy landscape below is captivating and holds my attention longer as I peruse the landscape. A wonderful looking place.

Indeed a fantastic view. Dreamy... You achieved catching that amazing light and still have much detail below.
The TL version is also great, but I like the compo of this one much better. As for the WS, it deserved a main post - the silhouettes of the trees against that fluffy orange backdrop and the green/blue sky makes a gorgeous photo.

I never visit TL, in part because of the ugly blue background that makes me feel I'm in a candy store and because I barely have time to see every photos on TE. But because of you, I've cross the 4th dimension and made a brief intrusion on the other site... ( If you have seen the movie "The Village", you'll know how I feel... LOL! ). You're as popular over there as you are here!

And I can understand why, when I see such amazing landscape. Light is the key element here, a real delight for the eyes, so peaceful and moody. The sun is still diffusing all his warmth to achieve golden hues; spectacular!

Don't spend too much time on the other side... People are strange... :-P)

Hi Lili. There are many many sunsets on TE, and to be frank I get bored with them after a while - until that is I see something special like this one. We don't often see sunsets from above the clouds, so you have captured something quite spectacular here. However, I have to say that I prefer the one that you posted to TL because this one is tilted to the left (the one in TL is not). The golden tones are magnificent and the mastering of light, just facing the sun, is very good.
I am jus abit annoyed by the horizon which seems to be a little bit tilted but this is not very important and easy to change.

What a warm, soft, beautiful light mixed with the fog to create a fantastic atmosphere. The sun is well placed top corner and I light the strong details in the foreground and the way just the tips of the hills peak above the clouds.

What a good sunset shot Liliana. The last rays of sun are always magical for taking photos, but, as you say...live looks always better. Anyway, you can consider yourself lucky to have seen this image.

Absolutely stunning. The layers in the sky are excellent. Perhaps a 1 stop graduated neutral density filter would have increased the detail/brightness on the ground.
