great contrast to one of yours previous photos. Not by colours, not by the mood and atmosphere but by this happy child. He/she is the centre of attention as it is usual in our world. And nobody notice poor man in the background... Except you.

ha ha ha ....:D era perfecta poza ...poate totusi nu asa optimista cu nota asta :D...cel putin nu din punctul de vedere a ciclistulul...eu as fi zis mai degraba :D o persoana care prefera sa nu isi foloseasca una din cele 5 masini pe care le are ...:D bucurindu-se mai degraba de aerul curat :D

Hi Horatiu,
Do you capture that mood by a kind of postprocessing? Because your color tones are reminiscent of polonaise photos. Do you apply desaturation?
I am curious because one day i may like to have such a "pessimist looking optimist" photo and add some grains, and maybe a black frame... Why not, sounds good ;=)

J'aime bien cette photo, Horatiu.
Elle me rappelle mes premières photos en Pologne natale, avec l'appareil argentique.
L'ambiance est aussi proche de celles que j'ai connues dans de grandes villes en Pologne.
L'enfant qui se détache probablement de ses parents pour rester dans ton cadre a en effet quelque chose d'optimiste sur le fond sombre de la ville.

Elle est belle celle-ci et j'aime beaucoup le titre ! J'aime le contraste entre la joie de ce gamin et la noirceur des lieux amplifié par ton PP inimitable...
