Now that tourism slowly discoveres Romania, at least the the main attractions get some attention from the local authorities, and a basic infrastructure to help tourists find their way is being created.
This is the Romanian Athenaeum, a concert hall in the center of Bucharest. Opened in 1888, the ornate, domed, circular building is the city's main concert hall and home of the "George Enescu" Philarmonic and of the George Enescu annual international music festival.
The building was designed by the French architect Albert Galleron. A portion of the construction funds was raised by public subscription in a 28-year long effort, of which the slogan is still remembered today: "Spend one leu for the Ateneu!" |

Hello Johannes,
An original composition giving an unattended shot. This is a good idea ad it is perfectly realised.
Have a nice week-end.
Best regards, Christian

Buna Johannes
Duminica placuta,
Lucian
Hi Johannes,
I've visited Bucuresti on a trip for my job, about ten years ago, and I had the pleasure to attend a concert in the Atheneum. It's a great concert hall. I like the composition and the nice colours, but I think I would have corrected the perspective of the Atheneum a little. TFS
