Photographer’s Note

This is an old man i found lookind around an auto show in Suceava. He got that flag from it..he looked around, he looked at the cars he liked, he looked at the ladies, but...and that's what struck me , not with envy or hate for the rich man like most romanians were wrongly mislead to feel...no, no...he was proud of himself, and of what he stood for.
Later, i found him on his scooter, and i photographed him...head up, proud, standing tall in front of changing times.

the angle, the light, the subject...everything different from a "normal" picture..together with your story it´s outstanding.

It almsot looks like it could be a shot for an advertising commercial. Love the light and the smoke rising from behind him and just the whole strangeness of the image.

great snapshot portrait, good light, good idea of the tilt, the yellow of the motorized bicycle. The man stand with dignity, we can feel it.
