Located in Sinaia (44 km from Brasov), Peles Castle is considered by many one of the most beautiful castles in all Europe. It was the final resting place for several Romanian monarchs including King Carol I, who died here in 1914. The castle was built in wood, stone, bricks and marble and comprises more than 160 rooms. The representative style used is German Renaissance, but one can easily discover elements belonging to the Italian Renaissance, Gothic, German Baroque and French Rococo style. Peles is surrounded by seven terraces decorated with statues (sculptured by the Italian, Romanelli), stone-made-wells, ornamental vases and Carara marble. The architects used an abundance of wooden decoration, both for the exterior and for the interior of the castle, which confers a very special quality to the building. (From Brasov Travel Guide). It was a rainy, but very nice day when we visited that castle. A guide takes you through this beauty, but of course not to all rooms. You wear fabric slippers over your shoes and pay for capturing photos inside. It is very impresive to walk in the history. You can see some other views in the WS.
Peles kalesi, pek cok kisi tarafindan Avrupa’nin en guzel kalelerinden birisi olarak kabul edilir. Sinaia’dadir, Brasov’a 44 km.dir. 1914’te olen Kral I. Carol da dahil olmak uzere, bir kac Romanya hukumdarinin son dinlenme yeridir. Kale ahsap, tas, tugla ve mermer kullanarak yapılmis olup 160’dan fazla odadan olusmaktadir. Stili Alman ronesanstir ancak Italyan ronesans, Gotik, Alman Barok ve Fransiz Rokoko tarzlarina ait elementleri de kolayca kesfedebilirsiniz. Peles’in etrafini yedi tane teras cevreler. Bu teraslar Italyan heykeltras Romanelli tarafindan yapilmis heykeller, tastan yapilmis fiskiyeler, dekoratif vazolar ve Carara mermerleri ile suslenmistir. Mimarlar, binaya cok ozel bir kalite sunan ahsap dekorasyonu kalenin hem icinde hem de disinda bol bol kullanmistir. (Brasov Travel Guide’dan). Biz bu kaleyi yagmurlu fakat cok guzel bir gunde ziyaret ettik. Bir rehber sizi bu guzelligin icinde dolastiriyor, tabi ki butun odalara degil. Ayakkabilarinizin uzerine kumas terlikler giyiyorsunuz ve iceride fotograf cekmek icin para oduyorsunuz. Tarihin icinde yolculuk etmek cok etkileyici. WS'ta bir kac goruntu daha izleyebilirsiniz.
