Photographer’s Note

This is the Petrom building, situated just opposite the central Sf. Ioan Batezatorul cathedral. It was built in the 90s when the local oil company was founded.
The city centre of Ploiesti is characterised by a communist architecture, mainly “blocs” and huge administrative buildings, and this glass structure adds a touch of colour to the dominant grey and green of the boulevard.

Count the pieces of this mosaic!
In that day the sky was partly cloudy, which allowed me to take an interesting picture of the sky and its clouds dismembered by all those windows in a mosaic style.
