Photographer’s Note

The picture is from the nun skete from Petru Voda village.
Is situated somewhere in the Oriental Carpatians mountains (40 km by Targu Neamt city). It is a new skete. I don't know exactly the date when they start the building. I think 4-5 years ago.
The architecture of church is typical for the north of Moldavia. The style is similarly with Maramures area (north-east of Romania).
The skete has a house for orphan childrens. The nuns are nursing them.

quelle belle construction toute en bois; la neige ajoute une douceur sympa même si elle est assez glaciale...
le cadrage aurait pu être meilleur je crois! un peu moins à droite (la maison en construction et les deux passants) et un peu plus devant l'église pour avoir le trottoir en ierre entier. parfois c'est mieux de ne pas avoir le sujet au milieu et ici notamment il me semble.

Hello Cosmin,
I like this snowy picture very much! Though I miss the warm sunny "green" summer very much, I like winter, too, for it gives us a great opportunity to capture such good shots like this one :) Excellent winter mood! Very good colours. I like the DOF, the juxtaposition of the church against the very snowy background.
My only remark concerning the composition is: I might crop a bit of the right side and add a bit to the left side of the photo (well, "move" the church a bit to the right).

It's a GREAT pity that there is no note to the photo. I would like to know what church it is. At last, to read something about it - at least, the name!

So this appears to be, perhaps, the last time when I give the highest "mark" to a photo which has no descriptive note.

Here you show us a wonderful building in front of an impressive background. Your photo in addition transmits the feeling of cold and humidity very well. You have had a weather which was not very favourable for taking photos. You did - und you took a very atmospheric one.

This is a great snowy scene. Your composition is great showing the church from a nice angle which creates depth and direction. The muted lighting creates an excellent mood for the scene.

Hello Cosmin ,
Great cold atmosphere in this picture ! And a marvellous church , too . I've readen yor explanation for the framing : Ok for the people , but if you've changed just a little your POV , may be you'd have croped the building in construction .
But i like a lot this picture , as it is .
