When we were kids we used to sing a song ...
In Romanian sounds" gargarita-rita zboara-n poienta,unde vei zbura acolo ma voi marita !!!!"
".....Ladybug, fly onto the glade, where you will land, there I will be wed...."

Now as adult I sing this for my sister :))))

Do you have any customs,songs about the small and beautiful lady bug in your countries?

Today my son asked me why I still sing this song,because I am married :)))......because was funny,only :)

Last weekend I went with all my family out of Bucharest searching one forest,to collect with my son leaves and plants for school-herbarium.....

this composition is really lyrical! My contribution to your item is an old English song: "Ladybird, ladybird, fly away home, your house is on fire, your children all gone".
But there is also a similiar German song about the most famous bug, the may bug, which is very disturbing: "Maikäfer flieg,
Dein Vater ist im Krieg.
Die Mutter ist im Pommerland,
Pommerland ist abgebrannt,
Maikäfer flieg."

That's incredible! Please look my today's photo! ;-)) You show us a wonderful atmospheric picture in beautiful colours - somehow touching. These fresh seedlings are interesting but I think they have no chance ... winter is near. A song -no, I don't know, we in Germany have a song about May beetle.

Lovely macro shot of the lady bug, reminds us that God's creatures are with us in the most unusual places.

I have no song for these circumstances but I like your image that brings a good and deep smell of wet soil, of moss, an exquise reminiscence for the urbaholics that spend their time on their computers! The colors are beautiful, and the two little ladybugs, each on one mushroom, are so surprising here (I thought they would prefer warmer time and places) as much as enchanting. You shot with a good timing, just when the ladybug steps out from one mushroom to the other; that's very cute.

Hi Isabela,

Unfortunately I do not know a counting rhyme or song on the ladybird… A beautiful natural composition on this insect which seems to take pleasure on these mushrooms. We miss nothing any more but the good odor of the underwood to supplement the photograph. Thank you for this pleasant moment.
