Photographer’s Note

During the week of the Sfanta Parasceva festival in Iasi, the city swells to at least five times its size. The people come for the festival, but also to stand in line (often for a whole day or more) to touch the hand of Sfanta Parasceva, patron saint of the region. In the picture, you see the food booths that were set up right across from my apartment in the center of town. You can also see how crowded it was.
