That Smile Was All We Were Looking For Photo

Photographer’s Note

This is a picture of Shannon, a girl that I worked with every day in Romania; and Costica, and very disabled little boy who, however, was so wholesome and pure you could not help but feel goodness in his presence. The picture has a long story behind it, but to make it short, it will have to suffice to say that he had a horrible hospital stay and that we had to sneak past nurses, get yelled at by doctors and hide under cribs to get him fed and changed. Because of all that, this picture is worth a million. I hope I captured the moment so that you could see it.
