Photographer’s Note
I took this picture while volunteering at a hospital, in Romania, with children who were either orphans or whose parents could not stay with them. Mihai, here, was an a little gypsy boy who's parents were MIA. At first, he was so shy and uncomfortable he would not even look at us. But after spending time with him for several days, he brightened up. And the balloon, well, it was his vice.
