Photographer’s Note

Hello my friends!
this is a picture taken on the way back to the seaside.

After the wheat crop has been gathered, the farmers set the fields on fire to clean the remnants and to achieve a better crop in the year to come. this practice is not agreed by the authorities due to the large risk of fire spreading, but fields have been set fire since the early ages of our people. the legend says that before the enemy armies arrived , the villagers would set the fields on fire, would poison the wells and then flee to the mountains and oppose the overwhelming enemies from there. nowadays the only enemies to fight are the bugs and the drought but still we can imagine the old times through .

Teo ai avut o idee trasnet sa postezi asa ceva. Cine nu citeste crede ca este vorba de un incendiu devastator. Ai surprin foarte bine focul arzand pe campul uscat.

it's an unusual shot teodora,
but even that it is a good one, like an oil painting are the colours, well I like it, the atmosphere is great, good job.

Well done Doctor,
This is what exactly happens in Punjab, in my Country.The authorites levy penalty but the farmers bother them least.
This session lasts for about a fortnight and is a nightmare for the passers by.
During this period the daily comuters like me abonden the buses and use their personal vehicles to travel.(I tavel more than 225 kms daily).

Parca e o compozitie in straturi.....primul pamantul ars deja,vegetatia uscata...apoi limita focul si jocurile de umbre pe care le creaza ...siluetele in planul indepartat si cerul de o culoare neobisnuita!E fascinanta imaginea...

Doamne,am citit cat de mult poate sa mearga Rajeev cu masina zilnic.......uneori cred ca e un calvar sa mergi atat

Hi Teodora, what lengths you will go to to get a good shot :-). Joking apart the line of fire and the smoke looks very dramatic and I like the way you have included the burnt ground at the front and the shimmering objects in the background. Good work and TFS.
