Photographer’s Note

A thorny plant that can be often seen on the side of the roads in Baragan (the plains area in southeastern Romania). Looking at it I'd guess it's drought-resistant and thus it can grow practically anywhere with no care needed. In fact it is considered a weed.
I spotted this one while traveling to meet some friends and couldn't help myself from snapping a picture. Everything was so green around it that day and I just had to capture this photo.

Minimal post-processing: cropping, slight brightness/contrast adjustments, framing.

Hi Iulian, this is a very wonderful picture. I love it. It is very clear and very focused. The contrasting color of red and green is of exciting part. Good job!
