Photographer’s Note

While enjoying the Septenarius sculpture in Galati, Romania (shown entirely in my previous post) I tried a few different angles. This is the shot I liked most, and the conversion to B&W (I used again the Channel Mixer procedure described by Ken Rockwell) made it IMHO even more interesting. Hope you'll like it!

Wow!... very spectacular shot, Catalin!
I don't know what to comment about it. Great POV, great image quality, sharpness... The light management is superb. I have to learn this channel mixing thing. You may wanna post the original version as a WS (I took a look at the previous post).

Great capture Catalin. I think the cropping here is excellent, with a grea tiew of all the curves. You managed to get some interesting lighting and shadows here. Well done.

Outstanding B&W image, Catalin
Very striking image of lines and curves in the great lighting. The contrast of darkness and brightness are so perfect that it shows some more details of the nice reflection at the bottom left very clear.

Wow, wonderful pattern that you captured here! The angle is good showing this structure in a very interesting way, and with no distractions behind it. I like the use of black & white too, because it allows us to see the shapes more clearly without any colour. Well done!

Bon POV pour ce noir et blanc de belle qualité.Belle gestion de la lumière. J'aurais peut-être recadré un peu pour supprimer cette pointe en bas à droite?

interesanta fotografie a unei interesante sculpturi - arata foarte bine in alb/negru si conversia e foarte reusita - si mie tot metoda cu channel mixer imi place cel mai mult dar inca nu-mi dau seama destul de bine cand e ok si cand inca nu, asta la pozele mele - cand ma uit la fotografia ta realizez ca e exact asa cum trebui sa fie!

I'm coming late with my critique, but I don't want to miss this one. I recognize the place by looking once more your previous post and have to say that this is definitively a winner composition. Extremely good POV and exploration of all the geometric elements. You framed it superbly! The choice of B&W is also perfect! Congratulations!!!
